Drinking one standard alcoholic drink a day is associated with a 9% increase in the risk of developing breast cancer, while drinking 3-6\u00a0standard drinks a day increases the risk by 41%<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #444444;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span>It is estimated that up to 20% of breast cancer cases in the UK can be attributed to alcohol<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #444444;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span>Three people in Ireland die from oral and pharyngeal cancer (OPC) every week \u2013 which is more than skin melanoma or cervical cancer. Two major risk factors for OPC are tobacco and alcohol consumption<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #444444;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span>Ireland has the second highest cancer rate in the world.
