TV celebrity Montel Williams, who has advocated for medical and recreational legalization for the past two decades, is entering the business with a brand of his own called LenitivLabs.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\">He\u2019s not in it for the money, he says. &#8220;A lot of people are jumping into the green rush and want to make as much cash as fast as they can. I am a person who helped create this green rush. But I\u00a0want to sell medication.\u00a0You want to buy some Bob Marley or some O.G. Kush \u2014 go ahead. If you want to pick up something for your aunt\u00a0who has epilepsy, get something produced with the highest standards.&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\">Because no uniform, national standards for purity, safety, or efficacy exist for marijuana produced in states that have legalized it, it is difficult to say how the highest standards might be reached, and Mr. Williams does not enlighten us.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\">His line of products, already available at select dispensaries, include \u201ccannabinoid oils\u201d of varying potency.
